"Steve Pica, stop that doodling! You can't draw cartoons your whole life."

-1975. Mrs.Gegan, Steve's fifth grade teacher

Steve Pica draws humorous illustrations for magazines, newspapers, advertising agencies and
book publishers. His work has appeared in the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune and
The Wall Street Journal. He has illustrated advertising campaigns for Pfizer, Neiman Marcus,
Panasonic, Exxon-Mobil, Nokia, and Fidelity Investments. In addition, he has illustrated children's
books for Lerner Publishing Group, The Millbrook Press and Oxford University Press.

Pica is also quite the animal lover, giving chunks of money from the royalties of his comic art to
causes like Open Paw, an international humane organization helping shelter dogs and cats live
better lives while waiting adoption. Check them out at openpaw.org.
